I'm Back!!!!
Had a GREAT time at Walt Disney World! Weather was perfect, crowds were perfect, and the kids were almost perfect! What more could you ask for?
I know, you are wanting to know the almost perfect part? My boys like to be boys and wrestle every day. Their boys and I wouldn't expect anything less! On the 6th day at Disney, they couldn't contain themselves anymore. They hadn't bothered each other for 6 whole days! Can you imagine that? Imagine what happened when it was unleashed. It was a fist fight just as Peter Pan and Wendy came around the corner. Did I mention that we were the first in line?? Yeah. Interesting conversation with the characters. :)
I'll start a post next week on how to do Disney on a budget and some things not to do, plus some more fun stories from our trip. Can't wait to go back!
I'll try to have the matchups done by tomorrow evening.

Frugalness Series
We are HUGE Sooner fans. My 13-year-old son's room is a Sooner room(wish my whole house was Soonerfide. But, I'm trying to show restraint. :) I'm always on the lookout for neat items to put in his room without it costing an arm and a leg. Below is two examples of how to be frugal. One cost $25 dollars and one costs $3.
I first seen the red nutcracker(on the right) at Hallmark close to Christmas. It plays music and moves up and down. I liked it until I seen the price tag. $50. I set it back down and waited. After Christmas, it went on sale for 50% off. For me, something different that's OU and $25 was a good buy. I bought it and put it away to give at his birthday.
The basketball player on the left was recently aquired at a garage sale for $3! It doesn't do anything special like the one on the right, but it is numbered on the bottom 100/500 and in great condition and my son loves it! Who knows how much it originally was.
There's many ways you can be frugal. These are just 2 examples. With Christmas around the corner, now is a great time to start looking for sales at garage sales, stores, etc. You never know what you may find!

Crazy Things in the Checkout Lane
While at Crest last night, the sacker started talking to me about Halloween. He proceeded to tell me, that he wishes he was still in highschool so him and his other 3 friends could dress up as four different versions of death and win the Halloween contest! Now he's to old. He asked me if I knew what the were. I knew the Grim Reaper. He told me 3 other ones that I didn't know. One was a fantasy death character. Umm...okay. Glad you felt like you could tell me that story!

Crest
Last night was a great night to be at Crest. I have had a hunch for a while about the pricing and when they switch things over. I believe they switch their prices on Wed like the rest of grocery stores. Earlier this week, they had minimal sales. Last night? ALOT. I know the cart specials(the items that are thrown in a grocery cart), those are not part of the sale. To me, that's more like a clearance item and it's random when they mark it down. We went last night around 10:00. Every employee was so nice. I think we had a conversation with AT LEAST 4 stockers in the isles!! I learned from one of the conversations that the 15th and Santa Fe location is the busiest grocery store in the state! I can see that. What's more amazing, is how clean and stocked they keep it. He said it takes them from 9 at night to sometimes 9 in the morning to get out all the stock to fill the shelves! That's crazy, but great! When we got to the checkout lane, we didn't have to wait(which was awesome). The cashier asked us how we were doing with a smile. Then he turned to my Mom-in-Law and asked her how her day was. I literally paused for a moment because he was truly sincere and wanted to know. I decided to press my luck even more. I saw the meat manager who was off the clock and visited with him about how I can get my hamburger meat for cheap again. He gave me a start, so once I get it all figured out, I'll let everyone else know. For those of you who don't know. I used to ALWAYS get their 95/5 or 93/7 beef for $1.68/lb. Onto the awesome sales I found.

Let the Blessings Flow!!!!
One of the Coolest things about being blessed is the ability to bless others! God is awesome! At some point or another, most of us have been in a tight situation. Whether it be the loss of a job, being behind on a bill, not enough money for groceries, or maybe it was just enough to pay everything but nothing left for gas. But at the end of the day, God ALWAYS provided. Now is our time to step up and show a family God's love. If there is anything in your pantry that you can donate, this family would be very appreciative. Toiletries, cleaning supplies, any non perishable food, and also school-age clothing. If you are interested in donating clothes, please let me know and I'll give you the ages. I can meet to pick up anytime or it can be brought to MRCC and left at Information Central with my name on it and I'll pick it up next Wednesday.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25
